We specialize in copper and fiber transport solutions with the industry’s needs in mind – signal routing, conversion, distribution, redundancy and multiplexing for copper (SDI), fiber (all flavors) and IP – to provide a unique and all-encompassing solution for broadcast facilities, OB vans, telcos and any industry where data must be routed, converted, distributed and transported. For a look at the extensive product line we offer and all of the details associated with our BarnOne and BarnMini series as well as our software, check out the BarnGuide by clicking here.
THE BARN-ONE SERIES
The BarnOne series of routers provide a 32 x 32 built-in routing system with a combination of BNC and SFP I/O ports to satisfy any application.
Every SFP port is bi-directional and every BNC port can be set as an input or output and all outputs are re-clocked. Multiple reference switching can be set to different references depending on the signal being switched and the system works with most 3rd party control systems. Each BarnOne frame is contained within 1 RU space - the highest density yet that also offers the least power consumption in the industry. Click here for more details on our BarnOne series.
THE BARN-MINI SERIES
The BarnMini product line provides for even smaller form instrumentation for quick conversion and redundancy solutions for smaller, single signal challenges. Ten BarnMini products are currently available and we invent more as our customers require them. Some of our BarnMinis have been developed for general applications - like conversion from copper SDI to fiber or fiber-to-fiber conversion where others have been developed for transmitting switch closures via Ethernet or fiber - our BarnGuide applications notes do a great job of describing both each BarnMini as well as their intended applications.
SFPs FOR OPTICAL, COPPER, IP/ETHERNET, HDMI, KVM & A LOT MORE
Your would be amazed at the selection of SFPs we offer - from all flavors of optical SFPs to specific conversion SFP modules - all working seemlessly with our BarnOne frames and BarnMini connectivity instruments. Plus, our ability to handle Ethernet and KVM in conjuction with other signal transport, has been used to optimize equipment requirements while improving asset management in several facilities throughout the world.
BARNSTUDIO SOFTWARE CONTROLS ALL BARN-ONE FRAMES AND BARN-MINI DEVICES
Our BarnStudio software comes included in the BarnOne frame price. BarnStudio gives you a quick and easy control setting, an overview of the input and output ports, re-clocking configurations, alarms, full matrix control, cable compensation on the input side, auto SFP detection and full diagnostic information.
BarnStudio reads the needed information about every port. In particular, the SFP’s are monitored in a separate list with among others temperature, signal strengths, signal loss, manufacturer, serial number, wavelength, connector type etc. With Barnfind, you are in control of your own solution.
Easy to deal with SNMP/MIB file (IPv4/IPv6). Please ask the Barnfind team if you want to have our SNMP/MIB file in order to do your own software. This is of course free of charge!
Barnfind offers an easily accessible Web interface.
In addition, we have integrated to many other 3rd party control systems like:
•openGear / DashBoard / ROSS •Skyline (Dataminer) •BFE, Commander and control panels •LAWO, VSM and control panels •Probel / Snell protocol, SW-P-08 •TSL •Crestron •Rascular •BlackMagic •Axon Cerebrum •DNF Control •HiTech Systems.
THE BARNCOLOR SERIES
Designed to be a cost effective solution for sending and receiving multiple video signals both directions over an opticalCON DUO fiber cable, BarnColor is the newest product line from Barnfind Technologies.
The product line consists of SDI and Ethernet transport BarnColors with each type of product having up to 4 colors available for expansion.
As an example, one pair of SDI BarnColor (same color) can transport up to 8 channels; 4 forward feeds and 4 return feeds over a single opticalCON DUO connection. Cascading 4 pairs of different colors transports up to 32 channels; 16 forward feeds and 16 return feeds over an opticalCON DUO connection.
Simple to use and easy to set up, we have taken all of the complication away from fiber transport setup; BarnColor is meant for plug-and-play…..though we should say “plug-and-transport” – no technical knowledge or experience required.
OPTICAL PRODUCTS: MUX/DEMUX, SPLITTERS & CHANGEOVER SWITCHES
Barnfind offers a range of passive optical products that you find listed below. We call them the LGX series. They can act as a standalone module or they can be housed into our 1RU frame, BT-HOUS-LGX-1RU. This frame has a capacity for up to 4 pcs of any of the LGX modules. You can chose among different CWDM multiplexers, splitters and optical changeover switches.
It is suited for harsh and demanding operations. Each module is secured with a thumbscrew for easy and quick replacement. These LGX modules are often delivered together with a BarnOne system where you chose to have the CWDM modules separate from the BarnOne frame. These modules can also be ordered as stand alone units for 3rd party products that follow the international ITU-T G.694.2 standard.
See also the BarnMini modules and in particular the BarnMini-06, BarnMini-07 and BarnMini-08 for similar functionality, but then in the BarnMini mechanical format.
